Hat Demo release
Phew! Took some time but we are back babyyyyyyy!!
This new update is rather small due to time constraints, but I still hope you will enjoy it! Sadly, there won't be nearly as much interesting things to talk about as with the first demo launch, but I am sure that I can get SOME neat info out of the corners of my brain!
But first, what thou be new?
While the major focus on this new update obviously lies on the newly added Hats (word is capitalized because there really is only one hat in the selection of Hats so I've created a new species called "Hats", which is a name and not an object now so I get to capatalize it), I obviously added a bunch of other smaller changes under the hood - that you probably won't even notice.
However (!) a big part of this update besides the Hats are the new "Effects"! (word is capatalized because I want to)
There are now four different effects ready to completely destroy your day! These inclued (and are limited to) flipping gravity, making you lighter or heavier and giving you an extra life! Since I haven't had anyone test these yet, I'm quite unaware if these are balanced or not. Please report back to me with feedback! [Discord Server advertisement here] Same goes with the Hats obviously, so please also give me feedback for those.
Additionally, I've implemented some bug fixes, removed the ability to spawn the Laser Drone by pressing S (oops), and have polished things up just a tad.
But now to the part where I share some things!
Sadly, this part won't be very long, HOWEVER below you can see my older idea for the Hat menu. At first, an additional button press (what foolish thought) was required to access the Hat Store! I've since changed that - which definitley was the right decision.
Additionally, one planned effect (that I completely forgot to record ANY footage of, it is literally GONE, this effect is LOST MEDIA) was clouds appearing around the player so that they wouldn't be able to see the Flummy anymore. This just really didn't look right and would require me to put a seizure warning at the start of the game as the clouds just kept flashing in and out of the screen due to some weird bug. Let's all praise this bug because else this effect would be in the game which we would all regret!
